I have copied and pasted this blog entry onto the End Metallophobia blog (from my regular Night Owl blog).  Even though it is not specifically relevant to heavy metal, I think it is important to understand we all have times in our lives where we are bullied in some form or another, and we all have our 'breaking points'.  In particular, metalheads who have been bullied and can relate to it will enjoy it.  A few weeks' ago, this youngster (a 15 year-old boy from St Mary's, NSW, Australia) was on the news. Things About The '80s Music Industry That Are Truly Messed Up

Imagine being *SO PRIVILEGED* that one can 'hate' me for ... ... not liking Kylie Minogue. GOOD F*****G GRIEF!!!! I posted a response to someone who commented on Kylie Minogue; and I was pretty much on board with what they were saying... They said something along the lines of 'our very own Kylie Minogue' who had become an 'international superstar' etc. I responded by saying, 'with the help of some *very skilled PR*' and executives and the like. And of course, I got told I was 'making myself look dumb' and that I was 'supposed to be an artist'. I started off explaining (very calmly), that I wasn't critical so much of her as a 'performing artist' or human being - she got her 'humble beginnings' in acting (especially in the TV soap opera, Neighbours), and then her numerous hit songs afterwards.  Meanwhile, her sister Danni (Danielle) Minogue got her start in Young Talent Time.  As did Jason Donovan (who played Scott) and ...

The Dirt (on Motley Crue)

As if the band hadn't faced enough controversy - now they're embroiled in another scandal, this time over Mick Mats and his decision to leave the band. Here's the link:  Mick Mars Heartbreaking Decision to Leave Motley Crue . How do Crue fans and other metal fans feel about this?  After all, he was the one who was able to avoid pretty much most of the problems faced by the band itself.  And he was responsible for creating their brand and even thought of the band's name. I am not a huge fan of Crue: I don't mind their music but they sounded like real AH's.  Yanno, like a bunch of these ⤵
